I also love seeing Stevie Rae coming to terms with what she is now and trying to help the others. Which, don't get me wrong, I won't read a novel unless there is some kind of romance but three dudes? That's a bit much to me. She felt less self centered and a little less worried over dudes. I do feel Zoey grew in this novel some and I liked that. Now I'm not Cherokee (I'm Apache) but it's still nice to see some of the Native stuff. What I love most about these books is how the Native American influence they use. I also love their banter when they talk to each other, it's funny. I liked that it wasn't something you'd see in every other book. I did love seeing Zoey and Aphrodite's relationship. Going from one to the other and nothing too much happens until the end. It will tell you ever major detail of the last books and even some of the minor books. So this one picks up right where the other left off and don't worry if you haven't read the others in a while, this books spends the most time playing catch up.

Wolf 21 and Wolf 42 were attracted to each other the moment they met - but Wolf 42’s jealous sister interfered viciously in their relationship. Leader of the Druid Peak Pack, Wolf 21 was known for his unwavering bravery, his unusual benevolence (unlike other alphas, he never killed defeated rival males), and his fierce commitment to his mate, the formidable Wolf 42. In this compelling follow-up to the national best seller The Rise of Wolf 8, Rick McIntyre profiles one of Yellowstone’s most revered alpha males, Wolf 21. This is the dramatic true story of its remarkable leader, Wolf 21 - whose compassion and loyalty challenges commonly held beliefs about alpha males. The Druid Peak Pack was the most famous wolf pack in Yellowstone National Park, and maybe even in the world. “A redemption story, an adventure story, and perhaps above all, a love story.” (Nate Blakeslee, New York Times best-selling author of American Wolf ) The Loeb edition's introductory material, by Bernadotte Perrin.įor another summary of his life, and a brief but careful assessment of him as a philosopher and historian, seeĬhapter and Section Numbering, Local Linksīoth chapters (represented by large numbers embedded in the text) and sections (small numbers) mark local links, according to a consistent scheme you can therefore link directly to any passage. Ultimately the lovers are drawn back to Baku, but when war threatens their future, Ali is forced to choose between his loyalty to the beliefs of his Asian ancestors and his profound devotion to Nino. To be together they must overcome blood feud and scandal, attempt a daring horseback rescue, and travel from the bustling street of oil-boom Baku, through starkly beautiful deserts and remote mountain villages, to the opulent palace of Ali's uncle in neighboring Persia. Ali Khan Shirvanshir, a Muslim schoolboy from a proud, aristocratic family, has fallen in love with the beautiful and enigmatic Nino Kipiani, a Christian girl with distinctly European sensibilities. It is the eve of World War I in Baku, Azerbaijan, a city on the edge of the Caspian Sea, poised precariously between east and west. It is a captivating novel as evocative of the exotic desert landscape as it is of the passion between two people pulled apart by culture, religion, and war. Out of print for nearly three decades until the hardcover re-release last year, Ali and Nino is Kurban Said's masterpiece.
